  • Dr. Jason Harper

    Jason Harper, O.D. completed his doctorate of optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. His externship training included a disease focused rotation at The Church Health Center in Memphis and a contact lens and primary care rotation at a private practice in Southaven, MS. Dr. Harper practices full scope optometry including pediatrics, contact lens fitting, ocular disease and co management of cataract and refractive surgery. Special areas of interest include treatment and management of glaucoma and dry eye disease. Dr. Harper is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, received the Mauldin Family Scholarship for academic and clinical excellence and was selected into the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges while studying at Southern College of Optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Association. Jason grew up in Raymore, MO and moved to New York City after receiving his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University in musical theatre performance. He is very excited to be back in the Kansas City area where he now lives with his wife, Cortney and their two children. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis and spending as much time as he can with his wife and kids.

  • Dr. John Burton

    John Burton, O.D. attended the Illinois College of Optometry, in Chicago, where he received his Doctorate in optometry in 2018. He provides full scope optometry including management of ocular diseases, co-management of cataract and refractive surgery, contact lens fitting, dry eye disease and pediatric care. His fourth-year external rotation included the Memphis Veterans Affair Hospital, the Tallahassee Veterans Affair Hospital as well as in Vision Source Eyecare.

    He is an active member of the Missouri Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City.

    John is a native of Overland Park, Kansas where he attended Blue Valley Northwest High school. He then attended University Central Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology while also playing on the football team. John met his wife, Julie Lafreniere O.D while both attending optometry school and recently moved to the Kansas City area. They enjoy hiking, traveling and watching their Kansas City area sports teams!
